When I started my Distance Learning project my topic was Social Networing in the classroom. I had picked to write my blog about the positive aspects of using Facebook in the classroom. First off, I am not for using Facebook in the classroom I don't find it to be the best source for eductaional communication. It is easy to get off track when on it doing work for school. But i thought it would be a good challenge. I found a great youtube video of an example of how a teacher used Facebook in her classroom. I included that with the blog i wrote. Over all This project did not change my mind about using facebook in my classroom but its great to see different ways of using something that I use daily.

We did a jigsaw web 2.0 presentation in my educational Technology class. A "jigsaw" is where you have a small group where you are broken down again in to a smaller group from others in different main groups. my groups topic was Social Bookmarking. my group made a powerpoint presentation to show how social bookmarking works. Than you get back into the main group and show your group what you learned about your topic. I think my over all presentation went well. I show my group the website Diigo to help them better understand how social bookmarking works. At the end of my presentation i had three mulipule choice questions.
