Outside Artifacts

I have taken a few educational classes. And even more History classes. In my intro to the education profession we did observation hours. I was in a eighth grade Language Arts class. My teacher Kim Johnson, was great. She was very involved with her students, and was even very helpful for my class. She was willing to help me in anyway she could. I spent several weeks there watching and even being able to help the students. The school seemed a little short handed when it came to extra help. So I feel my presents was welcomed and helpful. I was able to work one on one with students that were behind in the class. We would go out in the hall or to the library to catch up on late work. she did a lot of work with the smart board and internet. This was my first time seeing and getting to use the smart board. She would have her whole class planned out on tabs of the smart board. I thought it was a great change from the over head. I also went on a field trip with them to JVS where we were split into smaller groups and toured the school.  It was a great experience. I learned a lot from that class, and I now know i do not want to teach middle school and am going to stick with high school. I did like language arts, and I have even thought of teaching English along with History. I feel they kind of intertwined with each other.
